“Seascapes, Birds and Shorelines” with Joyce Lazzara
DATE/TIME: Tues or Weds (either day) / beginning October 4, 2016 / 10 AM – 5 PM
COST: $75 for Full Day/ $50 for returning participants without demo
Do you have a passion for painting, have you always wanted to try your hand at oil painting or do you find yourself somewhere in between the two? Then this workshop is what you have been looking for, regardless of your current skill level. It has been designed for a range of students – from those who have little or no experience painting in oils, to those who are very experienced and want to learn more about how to paint the ocean, birds and more.
You will learn the following:
• Color mixing technique
• Brush up on brushes and strokes
• Seeing light and shadow thru the eyes of an artist
• How to keep things loose while avoiding complicated detail
• Embracing the joy of working in oil
You will be creating your own paintings with personal instruction using a photo of a seascape.
Award winning artist, Joyce Lazzara, will start you out with a 2-hour interactive demonstration. The focus will be on shoreline, birds and water using the same picture that you will be painting from. There will be an hour break between the demonstration and then it is time to dive into your 4 hour painting session (testing the water with your toes is also fine). Class is limited to 3 students per session, which allows for plenty of one on one time with Joyce.
Space is limited so it is best to sign up soon! Supplies are not included, but a list will be provided.
Joyce’s international recognition includes being awarded 2nd place in the International Artist Magazine “Flowers and Garden Competition” and being included in the Master Painters of the World, United States Showcase.
