About Joyce
Joyce Lazzara is one of Tampa Bay’s best-known artists. She currently works in oils, but has used a variety of medium during her career as an artist. Her subject matter ranges from floral, tropical, landscapes, still lives, and portraiture. Her use of vibrant colors and exquisite detail earmark her very popular style. Joyce’s work embodies an honest, uncompromising quality that demonstrates the discipline and energy she invests in all that she creates. She is also available for commissioned work and enjoys this opportunity to work more closely with the clients. Joyce Lazzara was born in Tampa, Florida where she now lives with her husband. She is the mother of two sons, both artistically inclined. She works out of her Tampa studio and a studio on Anna Maria Island.

Joyce Lazzara has won numerous awards. For the International Artist Magazine “Flowers and Garden Competition”, she was awarded Second Prize, She was also included in Master Painters of the World, United State Showcase. She was selected as a finalist in the American Artist Magazine Cover Competition. She was also a finalist in the landscape category in the Artist Magazine. Selected exhibitions of Joyce’s artwork include the Miami Museum of Science and Space Transit Planetarium, the National Exhibition in Michigan and the Invitational Riviera Art Show in Miami, Florida. Joyce is also a “Signature Artist”, with the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, her work has been selected for the “Best of America”, show for the last eight years and has won four awards, two for “Best use of Light”. She is also a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, a member of The Allied Artists of America, Inc. and a member of The American Artists Professional League, Inc.

Education: She has a fine art degree from the University of South Florida and her extensive training includes studies in oil painting with such master painters as Juan Ignasio in Spain, Daniel Green, David Leffel, Nelson Shanks, Joyce Pike, Michael Del Priore and Robert Johnson.
